Apply for BCAF’s 2027 Term!

The Billy Conway Artist Fund provides mentorship, financial support and creative opportunity to emerging Native contemporary songmakers in Montana.If you are 18 or older, a member of one of Montana’s twelve Native Nations, currently reside in Montana, and write your own music, you are eligible to apply for our 2027 term! It is free to apply, so why not make it happen?

Our nine month term will begin February 1, 2027, and will include weekly mentor meetings (via Zoom), a recording session, making of a video, and a LOT of work marketing and promoting your creation. If you feel up to the task and would like guidance from folks who have been in the music biz for decades, this grant is for you. 

We are a relational program powered by mentorship, which we consider to be a conversation rather than a lecture—we learn as much from our artists as they do from us. We are open to any style of music and will work to match you with mentors who respect you and your goals, and who are eager to learn about you.
