Known primarily for his song-forward drumming and his intuitive production of other artists’ records, Billy also wrote boatloads of songs over his lifetime, only occasionally sharing them with others. If he had higher aspirations he kept them to himself.
After he passed away in 2021, some of his friends and collaborators gathered in his old NH farmhouse to record the songs that meant the most to each of them, and the result is this brilliant collection of performances.
